Using Google Sheets for March Madness 2013

Google did not release a new bracket so I've updated mine a little bit and posted the template below.  Click on the link below, go to File>Make a copy.  Make sure to check out the Helper tab for how things work.  Enjoy!

  2. Hi Jeff,
Sorry about that. It should be working now. You will need to make a new copy of the template above.

  3. Hi. I've used the template created by Google in the past, but I don't really know how to use the spreadsheet "under the hood." In the old template, it was relatively easy to add additional brackets and use it to keep score for a bracket pool. I can't see how this bracket does this easily. Does this template support this function and, if so, could you give me a tip on how? Thanks for making this!

  4. Why can't I get the Sweet 16 round to work? The drop down just has #REF!

    1. "i7" "i15" "i23" i31 etc. I saw all the drop downs for the first round and after I made my first picks I moved to the next match up and the drop down just had #REF!

  8. Hi TJ,
I am not having this problem with my bracket. You might try making another copy of the original posted above. Otherwise I'm not sure what is wrong without actually seeing your bracket. Did you change sheet names or anything?

    1. Yes I changed the sheet names but that is it

  9. The validations will not work unless the name of the tab with your bracket in it is called "Your Bracket".

    1. It works now but I was trying to add my wife a tab so she can participate as well. However, I can't duplicate "Your Bracket" any suggestions?

  10. Check out my most recent post about using a different template for a Pool. The main difference is that you won't be able to use drop downs for the choices. You'll manually have to type in the short names.
